Palee's Crown Thai Cuisine Mesa, AZ
Palee's Crown Thai Cuisine
1245 W Baseline Road
I am starting to do the tour of my hometown in Arizona. The Phoenix valley had a lot of great Thai places. A friend of mine claims that this is the best in town, so naturally I had to give it a shot. I am glad I did. 99% of all Thai places are family owned and operated, but I really felt the "family" in family owned at this place. I didn't get a chance to try the Chicken Satay, but the Yellow Curry was enough to make up for it. The sauce of the Yellow Curry was thick and tasty. I would say the gem of the meal was the Thai Ice tea, it was made with a perfect amount of cream. The waitress was a kind old lady that couldn't have been nicer. The decor was exactly what I would expect from a Thai restaurant... overall this place exceeded my expectations. I saw a couple regulars walk in and ask about Karaoke, so that would be the only thing I could see that isn't completely authentic Thai.
The prices seemed pretty reasonable, $8.99 for the curry, 2.99 for the Thai Ice tea.
