Jasmin Thai Gilbert, AZ
2401 E Baseline Rd
Jasmine Thai was one of the first Thai restaurants I ever tried, I remember the food not being that amazing, this trip didn't throw me any curveballs. Our server, an elderly lady, was very nice. She initially seemed a little put off by the gift certificate, but later we found out she just didn't speak English very well, so that was probably it. When we first arrived, that same waitress was sitting at the front door and when we pulled up she hurried to the door and unlocked it, it was 7 PM so I don't know what that was all about, bad neighborhood? There was not one person in the restaurant, normally a bad sign. The Thai tea was very tasty, but the Chicken Satay I could not say the same. It was obvious they didn't go the extra mile with the sauces. The Yellow Curry was great, I finished every last drop, but it could have been the fact that I was really hungry. I don't want to take anything from this place, but I did just come back from Michigan where there was no good Yellow Curry to be found.
Average prices, the Thai Ice Tea was $2.25, the Chicken Satay was $6.95, and the Yellow Curry was $8.55.
