Thiptara Thai Restaurant Long Beach, CA

Thiptara Thai restaurant
5630 E. Pacific coast highway
Long Beach, CA

The interior design was great, there was a nice big statue of the Buddhist elephant god Lord Ganesh. Since I was with my old lady and the little lady, I decided to try a new appetizer, curry puffs. The Thai Iced Tea was too bitter, I expect tea to be a little bitter, but not that bitter. The Curry Puffs reminded me of an Indian Samosa that had a softer shell, the curry even tasted like an Indian curry as opposed to a Thai curry. They surved it with some really good sweet cucumber sauce, it was definitely not 7 dollars worth, but it was pretty tasty. The server sucked, she didn't bring napkins or straws, had to ask for them. The food presentation was really nice, it felt like we were in a super upscale place like PF Changs (sarcasm). My old lady Casi didn't like her Pad Thai but I did. The yellow curry was very tasty, I ordered it medium and it was borderline too spicy.

Curry Puffs $7
Thai Iced Tea $2.50
Yellow Curry $9
Average prices for the rest of the country but it felt cheap for LA.
