Bangkok Cafe Tucson, AZ

Bangkok Cafe
2511 East Speedway Boulevard
Tucson, AZ

The first thing the girl greeted us with was the classic "two and a half people?" joke, it was really genuine and nice, good start. Great decor, lots of people, two good signs of a good restaurant. The baby was acting up so it made the whole experience much less enjoyable, anyone with kids know exactly what I mean. The Thai Iced Tea was proper, it was a nice start to the meal. They served a chicken veggie soup with lunch as an appetizer, it had a mild natural flavor, I added a little spice and it helped with the flavor. They added lots of chicken to the soup, I appreciate a place that doesnt skimp. We got the lunch special and it came with a couple vegetable won tons. I was very surprised when I tasted the Yellow Curry, it didn't have an amazing taste like I expected, my wife's Red was 2-3 points worse than my yellow, and I give it a 7. There was not enough yellow sauce to soak the rice, which always chaps my hide.
The child sets were made out of bamboo, I had never seen that before, which shows an owner that pays attention to the details. I also noticed the owner went and asked a gentleman if his drink order was correct, great service!

Thai Iced Tea $2.75
Lunch Chicken Curry $8.50
