Thai Patio Mesa, AZ

Thai Patio
1929 North Power Road
Mesa,‎ AZ‎

The first thing I noticed was the open kitchen, it resembled the Rubios restaurant layout. It was closer to a fast food restaurant than the sit-down I am used to. The waitress was very nice, she was new to the joint and it showed, but she more than made up for it with kindness, she was great. Aside from the "fast food" look of the location it smelled as amazing as any sit-down place and the food presentation was as good as well. The restaurant had a modern decor, it felt inviting. From what I could see the cooks were Thai, always a good sign. They threw me for a loop with the 7-11 "refill your own drink" soda machine, I had never seen that before. The girl that rings up the to go food also was our waitress. John Lennon was playing on the radio, it actually fit the mojo. The tagline of the restaurant is "Fresh and Spicy", just what I like in my Thai Food. The Yellow Curry had a hint of sweet flavor, it had a nice soft touch to it, the Curry flavor was almost perfect. 9 out of 10 for the Curry alone. They did mess up the Roti Curry appetizer, but apologized profusely and fixed it very fast, again the staff was really nice. The server came and asked how everything was with a genuine question. The Roti Curry appetizer was flavorful and had a lot of chicken, I was surprised at the quantity. Overall for a fast food style restaurant, it was really good.
