Bangkok Cafe Restaurant Greensboro, NC

Bangkok Cafe Restaurant
1203 S Holden Rd # C
Greensboro, NC

Its funny, driving up to Bangkok Cafe Restaurant I noticed how dwarfed the little Thai restaurant seemed compared to the gigantic Sushi conglomerate across the street, you know the huge building with an asian buffet that Americans seem to be in love with. This dichotomy hit me like a ton of bricks as I sat in my car looking in my rear view mirror at the Thai restaurant, then out my front window at this walmartesque building that housed a gigantic sushi manufacturing plant. As I walked in the owners kids were sitting at a table doing their homework, silently reminding me of what I had been thinking about just moments earlier. The children were respectful, I enjoyed seeing it because among other things it reminds me that it's a family owned and operated business, the kind I want to support. The owner/mother/waitress helped her daughter with the homework, I love that in a culture, we all could learn from this. The decor wasn't great, but it was comforting, you could just tell it was on a budget. The Chicken Satay's peanut sauce had a twist, I couldn't put my finger on it, but I swear it had coconut in it! It tasted totally different than any other I have had, I think I liked the change. The Yellow Curry was delicious, it had a ton of sauce and a TON of chicken. The food at Bangkok Cafe was amazing, if you live in the area you have to visit these guys.

Thai Iced Tea $2.50
Chicken Satay $4.95
Chicken Yellow Curry $9.95
