Bangkok Palace Portland, OR
300 Southwest Taylor Street
A big "American Express cards welcome" sign on the outside, I like that, but expected nothing less from a nice Thai place in downtown Portland. Not that I haven't been burned by similar signage before, but I was hopeful. I was impressed by the beautiful decor, the menus had ornate elephant wood carvings on the front. The Thai Iced Tea and Yellow Curry were slightly above average. Weird story, this ghetto bootied black girl walked in asking for sprite, so the waitress said it will be $2.00, she yelled "two dolla's!!??" "I'll go down to the 7-11 and buy one for 50 cents!". So the Thai girl gives her the perfect blank stare, and the black girl walks out, it was awesome.
