Mountain Thai Lakeside, AZ

Mountain Thai
2741 W White Mountain Blvd
Lakeside, AZ

I went to this Thai restaurant with high anticipation, I hadn't been to Thai in a while. My 3 good friends and I just finished an amazing day snowboarding at Sunrise. I don't know what I was expecting, being in Pinetop, but we got served by a white guy. Before I get into the guts of the review, I'd like to preface by saying we had the most amazing day snowboarding and we stayed at my friend's million dollar cabin, spirits were high, Taco Bell would have tasted delicious at this point.  The place was crowded on a Saturday night, as I expected, being the only Thai restaurant in Pinetop. I had heard from a reliable fellow foodie that this place cooks the best noodle dish he had in a while, he even asked to see the chef to inform her of her greatness. I later found out he was highly intoxicated, which always plays an interesting role in the taste of food. The shrimp egg rolls blew our socks off, I wish you, the person reading this now could have seen my friends faces as they ate them.  I secretly caught glimpses of each of them in their most vulnerable food induced orgasmic state.  My friend Adam loved his Musaman but my other friend Steve's was way too spicy. I liked the Musaman, but it wasn't the best I have had. The others seemed to enjoy their food, no other comments were made about the food being amazing. We got some drunken noodles to go, it took them FOREVER to get our to go order out. We DID order it towards the end of the meal, but we literally waited 45 minutes, it sort of bummed us out. The old white guy was a little weird about us splitting the check 4 ways, take it easy old white guy running a Thai restaurant.

Overall they seemed a little unorganized as a business.

Chicken Gaeng Masaman $9.50
Shrimp Egg Rolls $6.25
Shrimp Wonton Soup $10.50
Shrimp Pad Ka Pow $11.95
Thai Iced Tea $2.50
